Batchley Support Group [BSG] is a community based neighbourhood association (registered charity and company limited by guarantee) which aims to build resident participation and involvement in community activities, advance social inclusion and lifelong learning, reduce inequalities in health, and to speak up for Batchley.

The objects of BSG are those of a voluntary community based organisation working on behalf of the residents of Batchley, a locality within the borough of Redditch in the county of Worcestershire.

Batchley Support Group aims to empower local people by building resident participation and involvement in community activities, promoting regeneration and access to services, reducing inequalities in health, advancing social inclusion and lifelong learning and campaigning on local issues.

Held every Thursday 3pm - 5pm at the Batchley support group Brook provide FREE and CONFIDENTIAL sexual health advice for young people under the age of 25.

Brook is the only national voluntary sector provider currently offering this.They are a registered charity, and have 40 years' experience of providing professional advice through specially trained doctors, nurses, counsellors, and outreach and information workers to over 200,000 young people each year.

The organisation's objects are to effectively represent and address the social, cultural, economic and educational needs of the community of Redditch, primarily issues relating to people of African and Caribbean descent.

They are one of over 250 Friends of the Earth local groups in the UK, working to make the planet a better place for people.

Their message is simple: "Think Global, Act Local"

There is a role for everyone. They enjoy social events like cycle rides, films and green drinks.

The Redditch Association for the Blind is a registered UK charity which offers help to blind and partially sighted people Redditch, Worcestershire, UK.

We currently support around 250 registered blind and partially sighted people in our area by providing an annual grant and financial support in some cases to help make our members lives easier and more fulfilling.

We hold fortnightly lunches in Redditch where some of our members enjoy meeting and socialising with other people with similar sight loss problems. We always welcome new members from the area.

Relay For Life is a unique fundraising event. It gives your community the chance to celebrate the lives of those touched by cancer and to raise money to bring hope for the future.

Relay for Life Redditch is entering its fifth year and, as with previous years, we are hoping that we will have more teams, raise more money for Cancer Research UK and have more fun.

Redditch Relay for Life was founded by an amazing family in memory of their sister; this family continues to support Redditch Relay for Life 2010 and the 2010 committee. Everyone has their own reasons for doing Relay for Life - whatever your reason it's an important one and there is no better way to remember, pay tribute or to celebrate a loved one.

The group ROMANI ROOTS was created in the latter part of 2007 in response to the needs of so many who are of Romani heritage, whether full or partial, within the Worcestershire community. We aim to positively reinforce, maintain and perpetuate the Romani Culture. Language and history, and offer support, education, understanding and interaction between Romani and non-Romani alike in the larger Worcestershire community. Thereby creating a more harmonious and cohesive larger community within Redditch and the wider Worcestershire community.
